Responsible for editorial content

Pursuant to Section 18 (2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty (MStV):

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Ittner
c/o BCCM, Bahnhofstrasse 32, 09648 Mittweida, Germany

Online dispute resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR), available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. I am neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Liability for content

As a service provider, I am responsible for my own content on these pages in accordance with general law (Section 7 (1) DDG). According to Sections 8 to 10 DDG, however, I am not obliged as a service provider to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in this regard, however, is only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement of the law becomes known. Upon becoming aware of corresponding infringements, I will remove such content immediately.

Liability for links

This website contains links to external third-party websites over whose content I have no influence. Therefore, I cannot assume any liability for these external contents. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; illegal content was not recognisable at the time of linking. A permanent control of the contents of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon notification of violations, such links will be removed immediately.

Copyright

The content and works on these pages created by the site operator are subject to German copyright law. Duplication, processing, distribution, or any form of commercialisation of such material beyond the scope of copyright law requires the prior written consent of its respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted for private, non-commercial use only.

2. Privacy Policy

This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.1 Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the provider named in section 1 above. Please use the contact details given there to exercise your rights or to send privacy-related inquiries.

2.2 Server log files (hosting)

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to the server. These data are:

These data are not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation and the optimisation of the website. Log entries are retained for a maximum of seven days and then deleted, unless they are required as evidence in the event of a specific incident.

2.3 Contact by e-mail or telephone

If you contact me by e-mail or by telephone using the details given in section 1, the information you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, message content) will be stored solely for the purpose of processing your request. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries). Your data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

2.4 Web analytics with Rybbit (self-hosted, cookieless)

This website uses the open-source web analytics tool Rybbit Analytics to gather statistical information about visitor traffic. Rybbit is operated on my own server in Germany (domain: tracking.coinator.eu). No data is transmitted to external third parties or to third countries.

Data collected: page visited, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, approximate geographic location at country level (derived from the truncated IP address).

The IP address itself is not stored. It is exclusively used — in salted, hashed form — to derive a short-lived session identifier that is discarded after no more than 24 hours.

What is not collected: No cookies are set, no device identifiers are stored, no cross-site profiles are generated, and no mouse or keyboard input is recorded (no session replay).

Purpose: To understand how the website is used, to detect technical issues, and to improve the content.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the needs-based design of this website. As no access to the user's terminal equipment beyond what is technically necessary takes place, no consent under Section 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) is required.

Retention period: Aggregated, anonymous statistics are kept for up to 24 months. No personally identifiable raw data is generated, due to the cookieless design.

Right to object: You can object to this data collection at any time by enabling the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser or by using a tracking blocker (e.g. uBlock Origin). An informal notice to the contact details in section 1 is also sufficient.

2.5 Embedded YouTube videos (two-click solution)

This website may include embedded videos hosted on YouTube (operated by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). To protect your privacy, videos are not loaded automatically. Instead, a placeholder is shown, and the video is only loaded after you actively click on it (so-called two-click / DSGVO embed solution).

Only when you click on the placeholder does your browser establish a connection to YouTube/Google servers. At that point, Google may receive information about your visit, including your IP address, and may set cookies. I have no influence on the data processed by Google. The legal basis for this processing is your consent given by clicking the placeholder (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR; Section 25 (1) TDDDG). You can revoke your consent at any time by reloading the page without clicking on a video.

Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

2.6 Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own. The web analytics described in section 2.4 also operates entirely without cookies. Cookies may only be set by actively loading embedded YouTube content as described in section 2.5; this only happens with your explicit consent.

2.7 Your rights as a data subject

With regard to the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:

To exercise these rights, an informal message to the contact details provided in section 1 is sufficient.

2.8 Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for me is:

Sächsischer Datenschutzbeauftragter
Devrientstraße 5
01067 Dresden, Germany
Phone: +49 351 85471-101
E-mail: saechsdsb@slt.sachsen.de
Web: www.saechsdsb.de

2.9 SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

2.10 Changes to this privacy policy

I reserve the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to my services within the privacy policy. The current version of the privacy policy always applies to your next visit.
